The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) is an international non-profit organisation that was founded in 1993 by forest owners, timber and paper industry, social movements and environmental organisations. FSC is dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide according to strict environmental, social and economic criteria. The FSC label or claim on a product guarantees that this product is coming from well managed forest and/or recycled content. FSC Belgium is the Belgian chapter of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
